Sports compression socks for training and recovery
Light compression sports socks: 14-17 mmHg
For people who train for the love of it and want to start the next day with legs that feel less heavy. They are firmer at the ankle and looser towards the knee, with compression tested in an external laboratory, and they are made in Spain. Where you notice them most is afterwards: in recovery, on the journey home from a race and in the hours on your feet that come after training.
Compression socks for running and sport
Made with Polyamide or Coolmax, they are specially designed for sensitive skin, moments of excessive heat or humidity, and for playing sport or doing outdoor activities.

What are compression socks for in sport?
-
For recovery
This is where studies see the most effect. In reviews that pool the trials on compression garments, people who wore them after hard exercise had less muscle soreness and got their strength back sooner.
-
Legs that feel lighter
The pressure is highest at the ankle and eases off towards the knee. It works like a hand helping the blood on its way back up, which is why your legs feel less heavy when you finish.
-
For what comes after
The drive home from a race, the flight to a competition or a working day on your feet after training. A leg that stays still for hours is the one that gets heaviest. If you have a flight coming up, we explain it in compression socks for flying.
Dynamic, our sportiest sock
Dynamic is made of polyamide and has a fully reinforced sole. It is the one we recommend for running, training at the gym or trail running.
Blisters form when there is friction on damp skin. That is why a reinforced sole, which protects the area that takes the most friction, and a fabric that dries quickly both help. We go into it in how to prevent blisters when walking.
You will find every colour in Dynamic polyamide socks.
Fresh, for training in the heat
Fresh socks are made with Coolmax, a fabric designed for heat and humidity. Here is how it works:
-
Breathability
Coolmax is very breathable . Air circulates through the fabric, and this helps keep skin cool and dry .
-
Humidity control
Special fiber structure that transports sweat from the skin to the outside, evaporating quickly.
-
Fast dry
Dries much faster than a cotton sock. Ideal for sport and outdoor activities.
-
Gradual compression
More pressure at the ankle and less towards the knee, from 14 to 17 mmHg, tested in an external laboratory.
-
Respectful of the foot
The foot area is elastic enough to fit your foot and not squeeze the toe area.
-
Light and Soft
Calcetinos FRESH are lightweight and have a soft texture, making them more comfortable to wear for long periods.
-
Resistant
It is known for its durability and resistance to wear, which makes it an ideal option to use daily without worrying.
Do compression socks help with running?
If you are hoping to beat your personal best, studies on runners find no improvement in race time or endurance. Where an effect does show up is around the run: the muscle vibrates less while you run and your legs hurt less afterwards.
That is why we recommend them to recreational runners who go out several times a week and do not want Sunday's long run to catch up with them on Monday. For running, Dynamic; in summer, Fresh.

Frequently asked questions about sports compression socks
What are sports compression socks for?
Mainly for recovery. In studies on compression garments, people who wear them after training have less muscle soreness and get their strength back sooner. They also help your legs feel less heavy at the end of a long day. Calcetinos are light compression, 14-17 mmHg, designed for people who do sport for the love of it and for everyday wear. We sum up what the studies say in what compression socks do for sport.
Is it good to run in compression socks?
To run faster or last longer, based on what we know today, there is no evidence that they help. What studies do show is slightly better recovery and less muscle pain after exercise. We would rather tell you that than promise you seconds you will never see on your watch.
Which compression socks are best for running?
Dynamic if you run all year round: the fully reinforced sole protects the sole of your foot on long runs. Fresh if you run in the heat, because Coolmax wicks sweat away and dries quickly. Both have the same 14-17 mmHg graduated compression.
When should you wear compression socks for running?
During and after, both work. While you run they support the leg and the muscle vibrates less. Afterwards is where studies see the most effect on recovery. If you are only going to wear them at one point, make it when you finish, and for the journey home.
How many hours should you wear them after training?
A few hours after training and, if you find them comfortable, the rest of the day: as they are light compression, you can wear them from morning to night. We explain it in detail in how long to wear compression socks.
Can you exercise in compression socks?
Yes. With light compression like Calcetinos you can train normally at the gym, go for a run or do fitness classes. If you wear strong compression stockings prescribed by a doctor, ask them before you train in them.
And for cycling?
For the bike we recommend Nature bamboo socks. In cycling you sweat a lot and barely walk, so your feet benefit more from a soft, breathable fabric than from a reinforced sole.
Are football socks the same as compression socks?
No. Football socks are part of the kit: the rules make them compulsory and they have to cover the shin guards. A graduated compression sock is made for something else: it squeezes most at the ankle and eases off towards the knee, and in Calcetinos that pressure is measured, 14-17 mmHg tested in an external laboratory. If you have noticed the holes some footballers cut in their socks at calf height, it is because the socks feel tight right there, which is exactly where graduated compression squeezes least. We tell you more in why footballers cut holes in their socks.
How do I know which size to choose?
You choose by your leg, not your foot. The compression is in the calf and the ankle, so that is where you measure; the foot does not compress and stays loose whatever the size. You will find the measurements and a video in how to find your size.
Are they a good gift for someone who does sport?
If you have a friend who goes running three times a week and complains about their legs every Monday, you know what to give them 😉 There are gift packs of Dynamic and Fresh, and if you get the size wrong, they can be exchanged.
Can I wear them to travel to a competition?
Yes, and it is one of the times you will appreciate them most: hours sitting with your legs still, just before or just after competing. The same compression you use to recover keeps you company on the journey. More details in compression socks for flying.
Value for money
Our prices are designed so you can have compression socks that are tested and made in Spain without a big outlay. Buying several pairs works out better: there are packs of 3 and 5.
Can they be exchanged?
Whether they are a gift or not, they can be exchanged without any problem. We guarantee our customers' satisfaction. You can read more in our refund policy.
How long will my order take to arrive?
In mainland Spain there are three options with Correos: Ligero buzón, free, in 4-6 working days; Estándar en mano, in 48-72 hours; and Premium en mano, in 24-48 hours. Delivery times and rates for other countries are in our shipping policy.
